Federal Contributions for Preparatory Courses for Federal Examinations

Higher vocational training enables professionals to specialise, to deepen their expertise and to further qualify with a tertiary level degree. As part of the strategy project to strengthen higher vocational education and training, the Federal Government introduced a new financing model. Since 2018, graduates of courses that prepare for a federal professional examination or a higher professional examination are directly financially supported. The publication presents the results of the new statistics on subject-oriented financing in higher vocational education and training (AHBB) for 2018. It shows, among other things, how high the total contribution of the Federal Government in 2018 was, how the course offer was composed, whether the remuneration of the federal contributions differed from the overall group of candidates for the federal examinations and whether there are differences between the training fields.
