Federal Inventory of Alluvial Areas of National Importance (FR)

Floodplains are declining as natural habitats in the flooding area of waters. The floodplain inventory contains floodplains of natural or near nature waters of at least 2 ha or of corrected waters of at least 5 ha. This minimum area has typical flood vegetation and is in direct contact with the natural rain or is related to a water (groundwater, drain, etc.). The Federal Council entered into force in 1992 with the Federal Inventory with a first series of 169 objects. The Federal Inventory forms the Annex 2 to the Ordinance and contains the exact territorial boundaries and the descriptions of the individual objects.
