Dataset description

Forest reserves and islets of old wood are important instruments to promote ecological and biological diversity in forests. The description of the forest reserves in the canton of Jura is part of the FOEN project “Statistics of Swiss Forest Reserves”. With this project the confederation and the cantons want to inform actively and completely about the progress of their forest reserves policy. This layer contains all the original data as delivered to the Confederation and the corresponding documentation. In addition to the perimeter of the reserve and partial objects, there is a layer of forest stations.
