Dataset description
For thematic maps and representations in small scales administrative boundaries are often desired, which have a low level of detail. You can refer to the generalised border gradients here. They are available in Shapefile, Geopackage and GeoJSON formats. There is both a file without a lake and a file with the four largest lakes (Zürichsee, Greifensee, Pfäffikersee, Türlersee).
The data is provided in the Swiss national coordinates of the 1995 national survey (LV95, EPSG:2056). Maps in GeoJSON format are also offered in the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84, EPSG:4326).
