The groundwater map including floors was last revised and updated in 2016. The floors are called loose rock groundwater bodies, which are mostly located above the bottoms of the valley, outside today’s aquifers. In rare cases, lower floors are mapped below an aquifer and separated by a top layer. The floors are depicted as surfaces (polygons). The groundwater floors are, on the one hand, an important basis for supplementing the groundwater map, on the other hand they are important for understanding complex groundwater systems.
