Learners of elementary school in the canton of Zurich by nationality at school community level from 2000 onwards

Pupils at public primary schools in the Canton of Zurich who are taught according to cantonal curriculum. Primary school refers to school education during compulsory schooling. Compulsory schooling includes kindergarten, six years of primary school and three years of upper secondary education. Not counting are middle school learners, students in home/special schools, and learners in private schools. The school location principle applies, counting pupils who attend a school within the canton of Zurich. The data are collected annually for the reference date 15.9.
