The “Swiss Atlas” by Johann Rudolf Meyer and Johann Heinrich Weiss, commonly known as “Atlas Meyer-Weiss”, is the oldest cartographic work based on graphic triangulation and covering the whole of Switzerland. It was developed between 1786 and 1802. The atlas exists on scales 1:120‘000 and 1:500’000.
