Roads: Main and secondary roads (SSV)

For the road user, in particular, the provisions for main roads with regard to the precedence laid down by the Signalisation Ordinance SSV are relevant: Main roads are the roads marked with the signal “Hauptstrasse” (3.03), on which the vehicle handlebars, contrary to the legal precedence, are entitled to pre-exit at intersections”. Main road signs and town signs have a blue background. Side roads are all roads whose start is not particularly marked and on which the general traffic rules apply (e.g. legal action). In other words, all other roads (except national and main roads) are secondary roads. Signposts and signs have a white background.
