Statistical quarters are an administrative division of the city of Zurich. For statistical purposes, the city of Zurich — based on the **12 districts** or 22 city quarters — is divided into **34 statistical quarters**. These in turn consist of **216 statistical zones**. **Purpose**: Statistical data of the city of Zurich are often divided into statistical quarters, city districts or statistical zones for spatial differentiation. In general, administrative divisions serve as the basis for internal administrative tasks for the departments of the City of Zurich.
