The data consist of tree ring oxygen (δ18Otr) and carbon (δ13Ctr) isotope data of Macrolobium acaciifolium and Cedrela odorata from five sites in the Amazon basin, including Pacaya (Peru) and Maranon (Peru), Leticia (Colombia), Manuripi (Bolivia) and Riberalta (Bolivia).
All sample preparation (i.e., cutting ring sections, cellulose extraction, weighing and packing) was done at the University of Leeds, and all isotope ratio measurements were done at Stable Isotope Laboratory at the University of Leicester.
