Damage is calculated by the age of the calves date of birth minus the dam date of birth, this is then truncated to the nearest year. E.g. a dam calving at 1.9 years will show in the 1 year category. ""Unknown"" are those dams which do not have their date of birth recorded. ""Default"" are those dams which were born prior to 01 July 1996 that were not registered until 2000 where the keeper did not know their date of birth so a default birth date was given.
