The dataset is the external managed boundaries of the Forest Service forests. Forested and non forested land areas are included in the dataset. It does not show internal management boundaries. There are 124 forests managed by Northern Ireland Forest Service. The forest is the unit of management that is comprised of single or multiple blocks of the managed area. Each forest has a reference number and name. Blocks within the forest are identified by a reference number.
