Data on works of art in the Government Art Collection (GAC)
For over 100 years, the UK Government Art Collection has collected works of art to display in British Government buildings around the world, promoting British art and culture. Data on all works of art in the Collection includes artist, title, subject, location, provenance, description of the work and biographical information about artists for over 14,000 works of art on the website.

All important information such as time of last update, license and other information are in response of each API call.
In case of major update that would not be compatible with previous version of API, we keep for 30 days both versions so you will have enough time to transfer to new version. We will inform you about the changes in advance by e-mail.
