Bolton Council is responsible for a number of transport improvement schemes across the Borough. The highway capital programme includes roads, footways and bridges maintenance schemes and transport and environmental improvements.
The searchable list of Highway Capital Programme has been developed in compliance with the requirement laid out by the CON29 enquiries.
The searchable list is intended to provide an 'at a glance' guide to the delivery of the currently programmed capital improvements. The scheme detail relating to each project is not comprehensive but seeks to offer a short description of problems and solutions for delivery of each scheme. Please contact the named officer if you wish to know any further details regarding a specific scheme.
Highway schemes can be searched by ward, street name or keyword. Those listed are based on the latest available information; however programmes are subject to change due to a number of factors.
The programme of works is subject to approval by the Executive Cabinet Member and consultation on schemes takes place as required.
Extents of schemes: the work may only affect part of a road rather than the complete road; where possible this information is included in the scheme description.
