The Orchard Fruit Survey gathers data on the tree area of commercial orchards for the main varieties of orchard fruit. Source agency: Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Designation: National Statistics Language: English Alternative title: Orchard Fruit The orchard fruit survey is not run every year. Data is presented for those years in which the survey has been run. The survey collects data on the tree areas of each variety, rather than the field size. For this reason, results are not directly comparable to those in the June survey of agriculture and horticulture.
