Provisional UK greenhouse gas emissions

Provisional figures for 1 year previous published in March, i.e. data for 2021 published in March 2022; Final figures for 2 years previous published in February, i.e data for 2020 published in February 2022. Note that provisional figures are subject to revision when the final figures are published; however, they provide an early indication of emissions in the most recent full calendar year. For the purposes of reporting, greenhouse gas emissions are allocated into National Communication sectors. These are a small number of broad, high-level sectors, and are as follows: energy supply, business, transport, public, residential, agriculture, industrial processes, land use land use change and forestry (LULUCF), and waste management. The geographic coverage of provisional emissions statistics changed from UK and Crown Dependencies to UK only from 2016 onwards. National Statistics
