Dataset description

The statistical grid is intended to provide location-based data across spatially homogeneous surface units. Each square is characterised by a unique identifier reflecting the side length of the square and the plane perpendicular coordinates of the bottom left corner of the square. The statistical grid coincides with the grid of Estonia’s main map. Eurostat grid generation tool for ArcGIS (http://www.efgs.info/data/eurogrid/eurostat-grid-generation-tool-for-arcgis/view) was used to generate the grid. The grid is available in both L-EST97 cross coordinates and ETRS89-LAEA coordinate system spatial shapes.
