Map layers updated in 2017 for the distribution of habitat types 1110, 1140, 1170 of the Habitats Directive. The layers provide three out of six habitat types present in the Estonian sea (according to the Handbook of Habitats Types of the Habitats Directive in Paal (2007)). The national environmental monitoring data and the monitoring data collected under the various relevant projects were used as input data. As of 2017, about one third of Estonia’s entire marine area was covered by inventories, i.e. real data, so when using the data, it must be remembered that these are modeled distribution layers.
Geographical scope: Baltic Sea, Estonia EEZ.
