Lake, Transitional and Coastal Water Systems of Greece in the framework of the implementation of Directive 2000/60

Polygonal data depicting the lake, transitional and coastal water bodies of Greece (lakes, transitional, coastal) in the context of the implementation of Directive 2000/60/EC. Each polygon displays a superficial WM (library or transitional or coastal) and has a unit code. The data were derived from data processing of the initial Management Plans, analysis of an equivalent scale of 1:50,000 GWS. The coastline of the CSR of an equivalent scale of 1:5,000 and the polygons of the territorial waters of the country of the Hydrographic Service were used for the formation of the coastal waters.
