<p><strong>The Central Geological Database Geological Collections Subsystem</strong> contains data on the collections of the <a href="https://www.pgi.gov.pl/muzeum/o-muzeum.html">Geological Museum in Warsaw</a> and regional branches of the PGI-NRI. In the Subsystem, these are data on palaeontological, palaeobotanic, mineralogical and petrographic collections collected in the form of specimens, polishes, thin plates and preparations. It contains among others data from the archival database ARCHIMUZ. Since 2006, new information about the collections of the Warsaw Museum and the <a href="https://www.pgi.gov.pl/sosnowiec/oddzial-gornoslaski.html">Upper Silesian Department of PGI–NRI</a> has been added to the subsystem. Substantive supervision over their work is carried out by the Geological Museum of the PGI-NRI and responsible persons in the PGI-NRI branches. Geological Collections are linked to other CBDG subsystems Boreholes and Archival Reports.</p>
