The WMS service shows the approximate distribution of reindeer husbandry in Sweden and is the way in which the Sami Parliament gives a conceptual picture of where the reindeer husbandry right is currently exercised and can be considered to exist on the basis, inter alia, of ancient tradition. In some areas there is disagreement about the extent of reindeer herding rights. The Swedish Border Drawing Commission’s investigation (SOU2016: 14) has been used in support of the file. It intended to provide guidance as to where reindeer husbandry rights may exist to a greater or lesser degree. The compilation of the knowledge base carried out by the investigation is extensive and can be used to give indications about the extent of reindeer husbandry rights, even if the conclusions and opinions of the investigation are questionable.
