From the end of the year, the A-Ö list of examples of approved well-being activities will be removed from the Tax Agency’s website. This is because the list was perceived as normative. The removal of the list does not change the substance. Responsibility for the activities to be approved and for assessing the activities remains with the employer. The deletion of the list of examples does not change the rules. On the other hand, employers who have previously departed from the list of well-being activities may need to be familiar with the applicable rules. The exemplary list has never been intended to be comprehensive. New physical and well-being activities are emerging at all times and activities can change their name. Following previous judgements, employers are free to accept different types of exercise activities that contain elements of physical activity, regardless of what they are called.
