UNESCO World Heritage Styria

UNESCO World Heritage Sites under the UNESCO World Heritage Convention. Convention concerning the Protection of the Cultural and Natural Heritage of Humanity. It is a legally binding instrument under international law and has universal validity with 187 Contracting States. The idea of the Convention is to regard the planet’s outstanding cultural and natural sites, which are listed, not as the property of a State, but as an ideal possession of humanity as a whole (www.unesco.at) (INSPIRE Annex I). The spatial data as INSPIRE View and download services are published via INSPIRE compliant harmonised data. The publication on other rails — e.g. via the OGD portal — takes the form of the data available in the Land of Styria (Data As Is).
