Guidelines of the Province of Burgenland for the Promotion of Apprentices in Nursing and Social Care Professions in Burgenland

Pursuant to Paragraph 3(2)(2) of the PFG, the Federal Act establishing a long-term care fund and granting a special grant to the Länder for the purpose of securing and developing the provision of care and care services in long-term care in line with needs (Pflegefondsgesetz – PFG), BGBl. I No 57/2011, as amended by Federal Law BGBl. I No 170/2023, provides for the continuation of the monthly training contribution for long-term care training within the meaning of Paragraph 3(1) of the PAusbZG, BGBl. I No 105/2022, as amended by Federal Law BGBl. I No 185/2022. As a holder of private rights, the Land of Burgenland can grant support to nursing apprentices in nursing and social care professions. The aim of the funding is to make training in nursing and social care professions more attractive in order to attract more people to nursing and social care professions. Increasing the attractiveness of training is a strategy to counteract the existing personnel problems. The following guidelines have been adopted for the detailed design of the funding, in particular for the determination of the eligibility conditions and for the determination of the funding amount.
