Guidelines of the Province of Burgenland for the promotion of people with dementia in ‘supervised elderly housing communities’

On the basis of § 33 and § 36 Burgenländisches Sozialhilfegesetz 2000 – Bgld. SHG 2000, LGBl. No 5/2000, as amended by Law LGBl. No 70/2022, the Province of Burgenland, as a holder of private rights, can support persons living in a assisted elderly community for people with dementia. The aim of the funding is to create a living space that meets the needs of persons with dementia and to enable these persons to live a self-determined and individually designed life, to improve the quality of life of those affected in a family atmosphere and to avoid or at least delay the admission of persons with dementia to long-term inpatient care or to a hospital. The following guidelines have been adopted for the detailed design of the funding, in particular for the determination of the eligibility conditions and for the determination of the funding amount.
