Hazard warning card Slip processes

This hazard warning map was created in the course of the project MoNOE (2009-2014, commissioned by the Geological Service and the Department of Regional Policy and Spatial Planning) by the University of Vienna, working group ENGAGE - Geomorphological Systems and Risk Research. These hazard warning cards are intended to serve as an indication and basis for the assessment of the risk of landslides (landslides, no mudslides) in the course of land-use planning in a municipality. Each municipality in Lower Austria has received a hazard warning map for the municipality in the form of a PDF file. Furthermore, this card can also be used, for example, in road construction or in the construction of forest roads, in order to be able to identify and investigate possible hazards caused by slippage at an early stage. The map shows a possible risk of slipping cracks in 3 classes. The value 1 describes a class, an area in which only in the case of apparent indications a preliminary assessment of a possible risk of slippage is to be carried out. Value 2 describes a class in which a preliminary assessment by the Geological Service and, if necessary, a detailed survey by a specialist in geology or geotechnical engineering must be carried out. The value 3 describes an area in which a precise exploration by a specialist in geology or geotechnical engineering is indispensable.
