The state of Vorarlberg established the music documentation office of the state of Vorarlberg in 1998. The music documentation centre focuses on the artistic work of composers and the work of Vorarlberg musicians. The documentation of concert events in Vorarlberg, the advice of composers and musicians as well as the mediation of musicological work to students of the Landeskonservatorium Vorarlberg form further focal points. The scientific expertise and the musicological processing in the form of interviews with composers are essential foundations for the documentation (research, score study and analysis, creation of a catalogue of questions, interviewing, transcription, text collection).
