From 31 July to 2 August 2009, the third "National Park Hohe Tauern Biodiversity Day" took place in the Dösental (Carinthia). During this event, 70 experts were able to prove a total of 1,880 animal, plant and fungal species (species and subordinate systematic units) for this valley.
