Pflanzenwespen (Symphyta) im Nationalpark Gesäuse

Within the scope of this work, a species inventory of the plant wasps for the first time was developed. National Park Gesäuse created. In the period from April to November 2016, 14 Excursion days a total of 54 test areas in the Gesäuse National Park and on adjacent areas collected by hand catch, net and knock screen. Mainly high-water meadows, ruderal areas, cow pastures, deciduous forests, forest edges, meadows and alluvial forests were examined. In addition to the own surveys, historical evidence (FRANZ 1982) was also taken into account. In addition, datasets from the collections of Johann Neumayer (Salzburg) and ÖKOTEAM (ÖEKO, Graz) were obtained for this work. In total, 174 species from 854 plant wasp records could be registered within the national park boundary. These include two first records for Austria (Euura virilis (ZIRNGIEBL, 1955) and Nematus glaphyropus DALLA TORRE, 1882). According to the Red List of Plant Wasps of Germany, 124 of the detected species are harmless in Germany, nine species are not listed and the remaining 40 species are assigned a hazard category to varying degrees. Following the list of species, a biologically interesting species is presented closer to each of the eleven plant wasp families detected in the Gesäuse National Park.
