Tag butterfly fauna in accordance with the Habitats Directive in the Gesäuse National Park - continuation of mapping 2015

In 2015, the occurrences of three FFH-relevant daywrinkles in the Gesäuse National Park (Austria, Styria) were investigated: The Golden Chequered butterfly (Euphydryas aurinia) inhabits avalanche channels in the northwest. The yellow-ringed butterfly (Lopinga achine) can be found in the light, grassy forests along Enns and Johnsbach. The conservation status of these species can be assessed as "good" according to the criteria of HÖTTINGER, HUEMER & PENNERSTOFER (2005) and SCHNITTER (2006). For the quendel ant blue (Maculinea arion), too little evidence is available to give an evaluation.
