The former Eggeralm is located at 1,426 m above sea level on a 500 m wide mountain saddle between the Tieflimauer in the NW and the Tamischbachturm in the SO. This saddle was formerly called Bärensattel.1 The Hüttstatt is located in the lower part of the former pasture area. The pasture was not very productive, but included a large area. Hall names in the southwest flank of the Tamischbach tower such as Niederschneckenalm below today's Ennstalerhütte, Großes Kühtal, Kleines Kühtal, Großes Feldl, Turmplan (Plan is the medieval name for Alm, pasture area), Im Stall, Stallmauer show how far the pasture area stretched to the east below the Tamischbach tower.
