Downtown Graz under the magnifying glass: "Reasons for decreasing frequency from the point of view of different target groups" - population survey October 2025

The aim of the study is to identify the reasons for the changed consumption and visitor behaviour in the city centre of Graz. Survey of the frequency of use and perception of the inner city of Graz from the point of view of defined target regions, analysis of barriers, motivations and alternatives to visiting the inner city, derivation of potential fields of intervention (e.g. supply structure, accessibility, quality of stay), differentiation according to socio-demographic characteristics and place of residence. The study was carried out by m(Research Marktforschung Merchandising Consulting GmbH on behalf of WKO Steiermark and the City of Graz.
