Das Orthofoto gibt den Inhalt von Luftbildern geometrisch entzerrt wieder. Es ist eine natur- und maßstabsgetreue Abbildung der Erdoberfläche. Mit dem Orthofoto 2024 steht wieder ein so genanntes True-Orthofoto zur Verfügung. Dadurch, dass Gebäudeverkippungen eliminiert sind, werden auch Dächer lagerichtig dargestellt und ist eine Sicht auf nahezu jeden Punkt des Bodens gewährleistet. Die zugrundliegenden Luftbilder stammen aus digitalen Luftbildbefliegungen vom 19./20. und 29. März und 12. April 2024. Die Bodenauflösung beträgt 15 cm.
