Socio-economic enterprises (SOEs) are an instrument of labour market policy. They operate under real market conditions while fulfilling a social mission. Its objective is the sustainable integration into the regular labour market of people who are far removed from the labour market, such as the long-term unemployed, people with multiple job placement barriers or people with no previous employment experience. SÖBs offer a comprehensive range of support services that include social pedagogical support, multi-professional counselling (through social workers, coaches, psychologists, etc.) as well as targeted qualification measures. The aim is to remove individual barriers to placement and to improve the chances of sustainable reintegration into the first labour market.
