PRODCOM 2023

PRODCOM (Certificate of Goods for the Producing Area) Description: PRODCOM refers to the EU system of production statistics in mining and tangible goods. The most important part of this production statistics is the underlying product classification, the so-called PRODCOM list. However, this is not printed in the Regulation, but is prepared annually by the PRODCOM Committee. The items of the PRODCOM list are defined by the Harmonised System or by the Combined Nomenclature. The encoding takes place via an 8-digit code whose first six digits are identical to the CPA codes. The PRODCOM list is therefore directly linked to the central system of goods. The versions of PRODCOM are always tied to the respective year (e.g. PRODCOM 2008 applies to the year 2008).
