The apprentice statistics are compiled on the basis of administrative data from the apprentice positions, which, as authorities in the transferred area of activity, enter the apprenticeship contracts in accordance with the Vocational Training Act. These data are used to compile statistical representations on the reference date according to characteristics contained in apprenticeship contracts, such as the state and divisional affiliation of the training company, apprenticeship, as well as the gender, age and citizenship of the apprentice. The final apprenticeship examination statistics are compiled on the basis of administrative data from the apprentice positions, which, as authorities in the transferred area of activity, organise the final apprenticeship examinations in accordance with the Vocational Training Act. This data is used to compile statistical representations over a period (calendar year), such as the state of the examination, the type of examination, the teaching profession and the examination result.
