Department — Basic Division of State Forests

The Department is the smallest variable unit of the economic division of forests and forest land within the department with which it is specifically managed as a stand. Stands are excreted in sections according to forest purpose, cultivation form, management method, development stage, tree species, age, management objective, mixture ratio and overgrown. Every 10 years, when auditing the forest management plans, the boundaries of the sections may be changed according to the state of the stands. The section shall be identified by a letter with the numerical code of membership of the department. Economic division on the ground is marked by markings on trees, columns, stones, etc. The designations of belonging to the economic unit, the department and the first year of validity of the machine study are public data. The information shows the areas of forests and forest land owned by the Republic of Croatia which are managed by HŠ d.o.o. In addition to this information, additional descriptions for more than 50 attributes can be obtained under certain conditions for each section, such as:description of stands, tree species in the section with mixture ratio, mass of stand by tree species, tree height, age of stand, patrol section, stand assembly, forest purpose, etc. It should be taken into account that individual areas are located on cadastral plots in co-ownership where no identification of the demarcation of ownership was possible, in which case the total areas of cadastral plots are shown. Position data are presented in the Croatian Terrestrial Reference System 1996 Transvers Merkator projection (HTRS96/TM).
