Ecological network Natura 2000 of the Republic of Croatia

Spatial data consists of 743 polygonal conservation areas important for species and habitat types (POVS) and 38 polygonal conservation areas important for birds (POPs). The State Institute for Nature Protection prepared a proposal for the NATURA 2000 ecological network for Croatia based on the analysis of collected data on the distribution of NATURA 2000 species and habitat types in Croatia and supplemented it in 2015 based on the conclusions of the Biogeographical Seminar in the Republic of Croatia. The Natura 2000 ecological network was officially proclaimed the Regulation on the ecological network (OG 124/2013) and supplemented by the Regulation on amendments to the Regulation on the ecological network (OG 105/15). This layer contains the boundaries of the Natura 2000 site and the target species and habitats for each Natura 2000 site.
