Dataset description
This metadata refers to the dataset providing information about the inter-patch distance of European forest in 2018 covering the entire EEA38 member countries and United Kingdom. This is the result to apply the Euclidean Distance module of GuidosToolbox (GTB) on the forest pixels identified by the Copernicus HRL Forest Type (FTY) 2018 status layer at 100m spatial resolution.
On any location of this map, the pixel value displays the shortest distance to the nearest forest boundary. Light red colored pixels indicate compact/intact forest patches while dark red/brownies colored pixels show areas which are far away from forest patches.
