Basic ECV anomalies

The anomalies of three basic-ECVs have been created: daily maximum near surface air temperature (tasmax), precipitation (pr) and near surface wind speed (sfcWind). The anomalies have been generated using the basic ECVs to offer additional relevant information for the quantification of climate hazards. These maps are created using the basic-ecvs in raster format with a spatial resolution of 5.5 km (1 km for Azores) obtained by statistically downscaling a set of CMIP6 simulations for different IPCC climate scenarios (historical, SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5) and 30-year average time periods (historical, short time-period, medium time-period, long time-period). For the anomaly calculation, the historical period (1985-2014) layer of each ECV and CS has been assumed as the reference 30-year average values. While the daily maximum near surface air temperature and near surface wind speed variables are represented in °C and m/s, respectively; precipitation is displayed as percentage.This repository includes the products in geotiff format, the styles in sld format, the derived maps in jpg and the metadata files in xml.
