CARMINE T1.4 - Dataset on geo-design workshop 1 results: NbS planning considerations; examples of successful NbS; areas in need of NbS

README General information The data stored in this repository are for Athens (Greece), Barcelona (Spain), Birmingham (UK), Bologna (Italy), Brasov (Romania), Leipzig (Germany), and Prague (Czechia). This dataset is a part of Task 1.4  (T1.4) of the CARMINE (Climate-Resilient Development Pathways in Metropolitan Regions of Europe) project, geo-design workshop 1. Data are results of workshops within the project’s case study areas (CSAs) from November-December 2024. A detailed description of the data will be made in available in an upcoming peer-review publication (DOI coming soon). DataData was collected using Maptionnaire©, exported as CSVs, and then made into analysis ready tables through the removal of false entries. CSVs with spatial data contain WKT and GeoJSON fields, which were used to create the GPKG files.  Structure and naming convention The archive includes the following: 1. 01_T1.4_geoWS1_results.zip contains survey results as tabular data (CSVs files; results_csv subfolder) or GIS files (GPKG files; results_gpkg subfolder) File names are based on the workshops’ three experiments: survey for NbS planning considerations (survey in file name); participatory mapping for examples of successful NbS (sucNBS in file name); participatory mapping for areas in need of NbS (needNBS in file name). With the exception of the survey code guide, CSV files have the same naming convention. As an example, allCSAs_sucNBS_results.csv could be parsed as: relevant CSAs (allCSAs); experiment type (sucNbS); results (results). GPKG files have the same naming convention. As an example, Birmingham_needNBS_flooding.gpkg could be parsed as: relevant CSA (Birmingham); experiment type (needNbS); hazard (flooding).  ACKNOWLEDGEMENT The researcher was supported by the European Union's HORIZON Research and Innovation Actions under grant agreement No. 101137851, project CARMINE (Climate-Resilient Development Pathways in Metropolitan Regions of Europe).
