CLIMAAXKorsou Phase 2 — Foundation Spatial Data for Curacao Climate Risk Assessment Project: CLIMAAXKorsou Phase 2Organization: Meteorological Department Curacao (MDC)Category: Exposure / VulnerabilityLicense: CC-BY-4.0 Description Spatial foundation data used across all four hazard assessments in the CLIMAAXKorsou Phase 2 climate risk assessment. These datasets provide the exposure and vulnerability layers that are combined with hazard-specific outputs (coastal flood, pluvial flood, heat stress, drought) to calculate risk. Files - `neighbourhoods.gpkg` — 366 spatial zones for Curacao (GeoPackage, EPSG:4326) - 315 CBS neighbourhoods from Census 2023 (with demographics) - 51 gap zones (uninhabited areas between neighbourhoods: national parks, industrial, coastal) - Population: 154,640 total (100% coverage) - Demographic fields: population, age groups (0-14, 15-64, 65+), elderly percentage, welfare dependency, chronic illness, overcrowding, water/electricity access - Source: CBS Curacao Census 2023, processed by MDC with gap zone analysis - `ipcc_ar6_slr_caribbean.csv` — IPCC AR6 sea level rise projections for Caribbean - 3 SSP scenarios: SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5 - 3 percentiles: P17, P50, P83 (likely range) - 2 time horizons: 2050, 2100 - Values in cm above present-day MSL (range: 14-88 cm) - Source: IPCC AR6 Chapter 9, Table 9.9 - `fews_discharge.csv` — FEWS/Delft3D hydrological discharge model - 7 rainfall intensities: 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 mm/hr - 44,246 grid cells at 100m resolution (UTM 19N) - Columns: cell_id, intensity_mm_hr, discharge_m3s - Source: Deltares FEWS model for Curacao (MDC archive, ~2019) - Note: Geometry not included in CSV.
