CoARA Boost CF2 – RIF4HSS – Indicator Matrix for Responsible Research Assessment in the Humanities and Social Sciences

This dataset contains the current working version of the RIF4HSS indicator matrix, developed within the project Responsible Indicator Framework for Humanities and Social Sciences (RIF4HSS) under the CoARA Boost programme. The matrix provides a structured catalogue of indicators intended to support transparent and responsible research assessment in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Each indicator includes a definition, intended context of use, potential data sources, organisational responsibilities for data collection, and notes on limitations and contextual considerations. The framework is designed to support informed and context-sensitive use of indicators rather than prescriptive metric-based evaluation. This version incorporates revisions following a participatory stakeholder workshop and represents an intermediate stage in the development of the framework. Further refinement will take place through expert interviews and additional consultations. The indicator matrix is released as a versioned dataset. Future versions will incorporate findings from expert interviews and subsequent methodological revisions.
