Dataset description

These data were acquired during experiments at ID19 of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), in which a high-voltage, high-current pulsed power driver was used to generate microsecond explosions of thin copper wire arrays immersed in a water-gelatine solution. These explosions create cylindrically converging shock waves (SWs), which interact with cylindrical air bubbles. Two different experiments are included: (1) a purely azimuthally symmetric, cylindrically converging SW impinging on a coaxial cylindrical bubble; and (2) a semicylindrical converging SW, corresponding to half of the cylindrical front, interacting with the same target. In the cylindrical configuration, the array contained 32 copper wires, each with a length of 40 mm and a diameter of 50 μm. The semicylindrical configuration employed 17 copper wires, each 40 mm long and 100 μm in diameter. The bubble is 6 mm in diameter, and the wire arrays are 16 mm in diameter. For each experiment, the data consist of measurements from various diagnostics of quantities related to the electrical discharge across the exploding wire arrays (captured with a Lecroy WaveRunner 8404M digital oscilloscope), as well as subsequent high-speed shadowgraph camera images (recorded with two synchronized Shimadzu HPV-X2). The current was measured using a Rogowski coil, and the voltage was measured with a P6015A Tektronix high-voltage probe. Time is in seconds, resistive voltage in volts, current in amperes, power in watts, and energy in joules. The oscilloscope data contains the following columns: voltage time (time_V), current time (time_I), resistive voltage (res_V), current (I), power (P), and energy (E). The variable res_V is plotted versus time_V, while I, P, and E are plotted versus time_I.Time synchronization: Oscilloscope and image data are aligned to a common zero-time reference.Spatial scaling: Shadowgraph images have a resolution of 32 μm/pixel.

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

api.store is built and operated by Apitalks s.r.o. Company details and a direct contact path are linked in the footer for vendor checks and procurement review.
Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
