Dataset description

EDIT: 22/10/2025, the CFD beta sweep file "CFD_RANS_Rey_10e5_Poland2025_beta_sweep_alpha_13_02.csv" has the incorrect sign. The CS, CMx, and CMz signs should be flipped. See the TUDELFT_V3_KITE website for the latest corrected files. The attached .zip file contains all the data measured in April 2024 in the Open-Jet Facility (OJF) of the TU Delft, using a 1:6.5 rigidized scale model of the TUDELFT_V3_KITE . The attached files contain the following folders: CAD_FARO, which contains the CAD file of the V3 kite with the measured scale model shape plotted on top using lines. The lines were measured with a FARO laser tracker. CFD_polar_data, containing .csv files with lift, drag and side-forces as functions of angle of attack and side slip. The polars are extrapolated from the work of Vire et al. 2020 and Vire et al. 2021. normal, containing the raw load measurements (.lvm format), measured for different wind speeds, angles of attack, and side slip angles. repeatability, containing the raw load measurements to quantify if one measures the same results when re-measuring. sensor_drift, containing the raw load measurements to determine the sensor_drift vsm_input, both the V3 geometry and the 2D airfoil input that is used for the simulations without, containing the raw load measurements of the support structure alone zigzag, containing the raw load measurements made to quantify the effect of adding a zigzag tape. Some separate files are also present: labbook_repeatibility.csv, labbook_zz.csv, and labbook.csv, which are all manually filled Excel files containing settings and atmospheric conditions during different wind tunnel runs, e.g., time, temperature, wind speed, set angle, etc. The data is supplementary to the paper:Poland, J. A. W., van Spronsen, J. M., Mac Gaunaa, & Schmehl, R. (2025). Wind tunnel load measurements of a leading‐edge inflatable kite rigid scale model. Wind Energy Science. [prepint]The paper is based on Mark van Spronsen's MSc graduation project at TU Delft in 2024.The data is used by a code found on Zenodo or on GitHub, and upon execution of the "main.py" script, the data will be analyzed, and the tables and figures present in the described paper will be generated. This research has been supported by the Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO) under grant number 17628. This work has furthermore been supported by the MERIDIONAL project, which receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme under the grant agreement No. 101084216.

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

api.store is built and operated by Apitalks s.r.o. Company details and a direct contact path are linked in the footer for vendor checks and procurement review.
Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
