Dataset description

This dataset contains ensemble-based extreme precipitation projections for Aydın Province, Türkiye, produced within the framework of the CLIMAAX project. The dataset quantifies historical and projected changes in 24-hour extreme precipitation intensity and return periods using EURO-CORDEX regional climate model (RCM) simulations at 0.11° (~12 km) spatial resolution.  Scenarios and time period :  The dataset covers one historical baseline and two future projection horizons. Historical : 1976–2005 Future : 2041 - 2070, 2071 - 2100 Scenarios : RCP45 , RCP85 Methodology Summary Daily precipitation data were downloaded from the Copernicus Climate Data Store. Annual maximum 24-hour precipitation was calculated for each ensemble member. A Generalized Extreme Value (GEV) distribution was fitted pixel-wise. Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curves were derived for return periods:2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 500 years. Ensemble median and percentiles were computed. Relative precipitation change (%) was calculated against the 1976–2005 baseline. File structure  1. IDF – Ensemble Median NetCDF file containing ensemble median IDF curves for 24h precipitation. 2. IDF – Ensemble Members Individual model IDF outputs (per GCM/RCM). 3. Annual Maximum Precipitation Annual maximum 24h precipitation per ensemble member. 4. Relative Change Maps Spatial maps of relative change (%) in 24-hour extreme precipitation intensity derived from ensemble median IDF curves. 5. Reproducibility Notebook 01_Heavy_Rainfall_Hazard_Assessment.ipynb This Jupyter Notebook contains the complete workflow used to generate the heavy rainfall hazard datasets included in this repository. It documents all processing steps from raw climate data to ensemble-based IDF curves and relative change maps.

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

api.store is built and operated by Apitalks s.r.o. Company details and a direct contact path are linked in the footer for vendor checks and procurement review.
Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
