Dataset description

General information: The outputs of the Tolosa-SW model are provided as proof of prototype development resulting from the Coastal Application 3.2.1 “Improve storm surge forecasts on the Atlantic French coast” (doi:10.5281/zenodo.17064233 for reference). This item consists of a figure, an example of the expected output of the final application, and a dataset containing the information used to plot the figure. Figure: The figure Tolosa_SW-GLO_correction_ext01092024.png shows the sea surface height calculated by the Tolosa-SW model used by the French national storm surge forecasting system, and corrected in post-processing by the outputs of the Copernicus Marine Service's GLO-ANFC system. More specifically, this correction is calculated using the terms of global average sea level change due to water mass budget (global_mean_mass_volume_variation), global average steric sea level change- (global_mean_steric_variation) and  ocean dynamic sea level (sea_surface_height). The figure shows the result for September 1, 2024, at 00:00. Data description: The dataset in the file Tolosa_SW-ssh_unstruct_20240901.nc is generated using Python (by the xarray library, CF-1.8 compliant) and contains the following fields:  sea surface seight (m) sea surface height corrected by GLO-ANFC (m) latitude/longitude (°) other information on the unstructured grid (complying with the UGRID convention).

Questions before production use

Practical answers on evaluation, licensing, freshness, versioning and support.

api.store is built and operated by Apitalks s.r.o. Company details and a direct contact path are linked in the footer for vendor checks and procurement review.
Yes. Selected APIs include a free API quota, so your team can validate coverage, freshness, response shape and workflow fit before asking for a production plan.
Often yes, but usage rights depend on the source license and dataset. We surface source, license and update metadata where available, and can help review terms before a production integration.
Maintained APIs include update metadata where available. For production integrations, we can add history, monitoring and push updates so changes are easier to detect and act on.
Production APIs can add SLA, stable identifiers, versioning support, history, push updates and direct support around the data your product or AI workflow depends on.
