Geotechnical Innovative Seismic Isolation System (ERIES-GISIS)

This dataset includes data from recordings of the forced vibration response of the prototype structure of EuroProteas resting on a pile cap foundation on four micropiles with encased rubber isolators. Two configurations were tested: with and without the EuroProteas superstructure. The eccentric mass shaker that produced the forced vibration was mounted either on the foundation slab or the roof slab. The instrumentation comprised high-resolution accelerometers and laser displacement sensors. The instruments were placed on the soil surface around the foundation, on the micropiles above and below the rubber isolators, on the foundation, and on the roof of EuroProteas. The dynamic forced-vibration tests covered a wide range of frequencies (1 to 12Hz) and amplitudes (0.1kN to 30kN). All field tests were conducted at the Euroseistest/EuroProteas facility. Drawings, instrumentation layout, and photos are also included in the dataset.
