Gridded country fractional areas for EU27 countries plus UK, Norway and Switzerland

Country mask files are provided as used in the EYE-CLIMA project to calculate country total emissions from gridded datasets. They cover a consistent European domain extending from 30°N to 80°N and 20°W to 35°E and are provided at a five commonly used spatial resolutions: 0.1°, 0.125°, 0.2°, 0.5°, and 1.0°. The files contain two mask variables, country_all_mask and country_domain_mask, which give for each EU27 country (plus UK, Switzerland, and Norway) the country area fraction in each grid cell. The country_all_mask contains the fraction for the country's land territory as well as its Exclusive Economic Zone.
