Dataset description

This dataset contains the heatwave hazard assessment for İzmir Metropolitan Area developed under the CLIMAAX project. Heatwave events were detected using daily minimum and maximum temperature projections from the NASA NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 dataset. Multi-model ensemble median data were used for SSP245 and SSP585 scenarios. Heatwaves are defined as ≥5 consecutive days during June–August where both Tmin and Tmax exceed the 90th percentile of the 1980–2010 baseline period. The dataset includes ensemble climate data, detected heatwave statistics, and visual outputs.
